Position Overview:
As a Technical Sales Specialist, you will play a critical role in our Audio Visual (AV) sales team, bridging the gap between our cutting-edge AV solutions and our clients' specific needs. You will combine technical expertise with excellent communication and sales skills to deliver tailored AV solutions, ultimately driving revenue growth and ensuring client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise:
Develop an in-depth understanding of our AV product and solution offerings.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive products.
Act as a subject matter expert, providing technical guidance and support to the sales team and clients.
Client Engagement:

Collaborate with Account Executives to identify client needs and objectives.

Conduct in-depth needs assessments and solution demonstrations to prospective clients.

Translate technical features into client benefits and value propositions.
Solution Design:

Create customized AV solutions that align with client requirements and budgets.

Collaborate with the engineering and design teams to develop detailed proposals and system designs.

Present solutions to clients in a clear and compelling manner, addressing their technical questions and concerns.
Technical Support:

Assist clients during the pre-sales process with technical inquiries and product recommendations.

Provide post-sale technical support as needed, including basic troubleshooting and issue resolution with eventual escalation to the service department.

Collaborate with the project management team to ensure a smooth transition from sales to implementation.
Sales Collaboration:

Work closely with the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets and objectives.

Attend sales meetings and contribute technical insights to the overall sales strategy.

Assist in preparing quotations, proposals, and presentations for clients.
Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of client interactions, technical specifications, and solution designs.

Prepare reports on sales activities, technical challenges, and client feedback.
Training and Education:

Provide training to internal sales teams to enhance their product knowledge and technical acumen.

Conduct technical training sessions for clients as needed.
Qualifications:

Comfort and skill with G-suite and Microsoft Office

Comfort with Zoom, MS Teams, Google Meet and other video platforms

Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the willingness to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.

Proficiency in using sales and CRM software to manage client interactions and track progress.

Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.

Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.

Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g Electrical Engineering, Audio Visual Technology) or equivalent experience is a plus.

Proven experience in technical sales, preferably in the AV industry is a plus.

Strong understanding of AV technologies, including audio and video systems, control systems, and integration is a plus.

Industry certifications (e.g., CTS, CTS-D) are a plus.
