This workshop session is led by a SMART certified Master's trainer who works with SMART products every day. In this workshop, you will be introduced to set up procedures, hardware components, and how to use and operate the interactive whiteboard. Features of the Notebook software will be introduced with emphasis on the on-line training and free sample lessons.
By the end of the workshop, youll be comfortable with the SMART Board interactive whiteboard and ready to start using it in your classroom.

This workshop session is led by a SMART trainer who works with SMART products every day. This four hour workshop will introduce you to the basics of the SMART Board interactive whiteboard. You will learn how to use and operate the interactive whiteboard more effectively, how to work with applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel® and PowerPoint® on your SMART Board interactive whiteboard, and how to use and manipulate Notebook software to create presentations that are enriched with graphic detail and interactivity.
Participants will receive a SMART Masters Interactive Whiteboard Learner Workbook, which includes reference material, step-by-step activities and review exercises. The workbook is used during the session and is ideal for future reference. By the end of this workshop, youll be comfortable creating and organizing lessons using the SMART Board interactive whiteboard and Notebook software. You will receive a level 2 Notebook software learner workbook that includes reference material, step-by-step activities and review exercises. The workbook is used during the session and is an excellent future reference. You will have time to ask questions and create interactive lesson activities.

- Delivering lessons and leveraging interactive tools: Learn best practices for teaching with an interactive whiteboard. Discover the differences between using Notebook software to create presentations in advance and using the software spontaneously in your classroom.
- Tools for assessing student learning: Review the science of evaluation and assessment, and build assessment activities. Learn how to use Notebook software in your formative and summative evaluations of your students and their work.
- Additional resources: Find out how SMART supports you with a number of resources, including free training materials and an online community.
